Our Mission Statement For over two and a quarter centuries, Spruce Run Evangelical Lutheran Zion Church has existed to draw people into a community of faith which proclaims the good news of Jesus Christ in Word and Sacrament. Our sense of hope, strength, and grace - our Lutheran heritage - will nurture our Congregation and we will continue to reach out to the community through Christian education, music and service. |

| Who we are: We are a medium size, semi-rural congregation in North West Central New Jersey serving Christians in northern Hunterdon County and some of Warren County. We welcome all who believe in Christ Jesus.
In this cabin, built by Frederick Fritts in 1756, the first services of the Spruce Run Lutheran Church, Hill Road, were held in 1775. Near the roof are holes for defending against hostile Indians. The present church building was constructed in 1870 with the latest addition, completed in 1991, providing expanded educational facilities and a Nursery. There are many events and active groups for children and adults: The Women of the ELCA, youth groups and choirs (chancel choir and handbell choir), as well as family, youth and adult fellowship events held throughout the year.
